About This Product This unit is designed to walk students through the impact of Paul's missionary outreach, and how God worked through the hardships along the way. Youth will explore the burden Paul had for the lost. They will see the church struggle with issues that present barriers that prevent the lost from coming to know God. They will understand that Christian outreach is not without its pitfalls, as Paul and Silas are thrown into prison for sharing the good news. Finally they will learn what lengths Paul went through to reach others who were not from his culture and did not speak his language.

Lesson 41: Paul's Missionary Outreach: On a Mission from God--Paul's whole life was dedicated to helping the lost, especially the Gentiles, encounter Jesus and enter in to the new covenant. (Acts 13:1--14:28)

Lesson 42: The Council of Jerusalem: Running the High Hurdles--The Council of Jerusalem was more concerned with keeping their Jewish practices and traditions than they were with reaching the Gentile people that Paul and Barnabas reached on their first missionary journey. (Acts 15)

Lesson 43: Paul and Silas in Prison: Stories From the Slammer --When Paul and Silas obediently cast the demon out of the slave girl, the owners of the slave girl throw Paul and Silas in prison. God is faithful, however, and provides a way out. (Acts 16:16-40)

Lesson 44: Paul at Athens: It's All Greek to Me--Paul contrasts the Athenians view of God with the truth of the biblical God by explaining the truths of Christianity in understandable terms. (Acts 17:16-34) Topics: Acts (Book of), Barrier, Culture or Cultures, Evangelism, Faith, Gentiles, Gospel, Laws, Law, Lost, Mars Hill, Mission, Obedience, Paul the Apostle, Persecution, Silas
