Each monologue is different, but all of them deal with the choices we make in life and their consequences. "A Member of the Club" is about a man who is faced with almost crossing the line between discipline and abuse. "The Little Black Box" deals with a man who grew up in the church but carried the dark secret of struggling with homosexuality. He now speaks from the point of a man who is HIV positive and facing death early in life. "Freedom" is the story of a woman who angrily left home when she was a teenager. She now looks back on the enormous loss of her youth and agonizes over how her daughters are making some of the same choices. |
