This unit is designed to help students see how science and Scripture can work together to strengthen our belief in God as Creator and Caretaker and, in that process, discover that we, who are made and remade in His image, have responsibilities to His creation.
Lesson 1: Religion vs. Science?--Scripture and Science can work together to strengthen our belief in God the Creator. (Genesis 1-2; 1 Corinthians 13:8-12)
Lesson 2: Made in His Image--We are of immeasurable worth because God intentionally created us in His own image. (Genesis 1:26-31; Psalm 139:1-17)
Lesson 3: The First Environmentalists--God charges us with the responsibility to tend and care for all creation. (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15; Psalm 8; Romans 8:18-23)
Lesson 4: The Ever-Creating God--Our creative God continually offers us the gift of renewal and re-creation, moment by moment. (Genesis 1:1-2:3; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 5:17) |
