About This Product These four lessons help your students verbalize their questions, accept God's grace and comfort, and then extend this grace to others. Students will learn what it means to trust God. They will learn 1) that God is with us in all of life's experiences; 2) divorce represents a failure to live up to God's design for a marriage, but Christians have the opportunity to respond with understanding, support, and healing; 3) when teens disregard God's call to sexual abstinence, they must deal with the consequences, including unplanned pregnancy; and 4) the community of faith can reflect God's compassion and love by supporting victims of abuse as well as those working to change their abusive behavior.

Lesson 1: Death and Dying--God is with us in all of life's experiences--even death, with all its grief and uncertainties. (Psalm 23:4; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57; 2 Corinthians 1:3-9)

Lesson 2: When Divorce Comes Home--Divorce represents a failure to live up to God's design for marriage. When it occurs, Christians have an opportunity to respond with understanding, support, and healing. (Malachi 2:13-16; 1 Corinthians 7:10-16; Galatians 6:2)

Lesson 3: When Teens Become Parents--When teens disregard God's call to sexual abstinence, they must deal with the consequences, including unplanned pregnancy. Christians should accept and support those involved in teen pregnancy, just as God does for those who seek His forgiveness. (Romans 7:21-25; 15:1-7; 1 Corinthians 10:13; James 1:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8)

Lesson 4: Dealing with Abuse--The community of faith can reflect God's compassion and love by supporting victims of abuse as well as those working to change their abusive behavior. (Ephesians 4:26-5:2; Titus 3:3-7; 1 John 2:9-11) Topics: Abortion, Abstinence, Abuse (Child, Spouse, & Other), Adoption, Anger, Comfort, Death and Dying, Divorce, Grief, Healing, Hurting, Marriage, Mourn or Mourning, Step families, Stepparent or Stepparenting, Teen Pregnancy, Violence
