About This Product The four lessons of this unit are designed to challenge your teens to be an active part of today's Church. As youth move from lesson to lesson, they will be given the opportunity to help fulfill the mission of the Church, build a united, caring community, learn to live and work with and love imperfect people, and use their God-given gifts and abilities to minister to the needs of others.

Lesson 1: Living the Mission--This lesson will help your students understand the reason why the Church exists. God wants to establish a personal relationship with them and to provide a caring and learning atmosphere in which that relationship can grow. (Jeremiah 31:33; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47)

Lesson 2: The Shared Life--This lesson is designed to help teens experience Christian community. It will show them how to speak the language of love - to encourage, build up, and affirm others. This lesson will be an important step in making your class, youth group, and church a place that people love to come to because they feel a part of the community of faith. (Ephesians 4:1-6; 29-32; John 17:20-23)

Lesson 3: God Cooks with Cracked Pots!--This lesson will help your students see that God accepts each of us where we are--but He doesn't leave us there. He continues to work with us to make us more like Him. This lesson will help deepen your students' trust that God is in control of His Church. (1 Corinthians 3:1-9; 2 Corinthians 4:7; 1 Thessalonians 1:4-10)

Lesson 4: Who, Me?--This lesson will help your students see that God gives each Christian a significant role in His Church, and realize that if they become involved in Christ's mission to save the lost NOW, they develop faith that God can actually use them. This lesson will encourage your students to accept the challenge of ministry and make it a part of their lives. (1 Timothy 4:12-16; Ephesians 4:11-16) Topics: Acceptance, Church, Community, Existence, Gifts, Identity, Missions, Service, Spiritual Gifts, Talents, Trust or Trust in God
