About This Product This unit covers the first Sunday in Lent through the fourth Sunday in Lent in Lectionary Year C. It is designed to help students understand: Assurance in our relationship with God; standing firm in the faith as a consequence of our citizenship in God's kingdom; God's free and generous mercy; and having a new worldview and mindset as a Christian.

Lesson 1: Faith Factor—Although we may be tempted to doubt or question our relationship with God, we can be assured of God's love and care for us. (Deuteronomy 26:1-11; Psalms 91:1-2, 9-16; Romans 10:8b-13; Luke 4:1-13)

Lesson 2: The Fabric of Faith—Because Christians are citizens of God's kingdom, with its eternal values, we can be confident in our faith. (Genesis 15:1-12, 17-18; Psalms 27; Philippians 3:17-4:1; Luke 9:28-36)

Lesson 3: Soul Food—God is merciful and freely provides a new future to anyone who turns (or returns) to God and seeks pardon. (Isaiah 55:1-9; Psalm 63:1-8; 1 Corinthians 10:1-13; Luke 13:1-9)

Lesson 4: How to Be a World Changer—Because of Christ's life, death, and resurrection, the world became a different place in which Christians see and act in radically new and different ways; such as working toward reconciliation between people and God and each other. (Joshua 5:9-12; Psalm 32; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32)
