Putting God in Control

About This Product This unit is designed to help students identify areas in their lives in which they have trouble giving God control. This unit will help students view their time as a gift from God that should be managed wisely, help them view their money and possessions as gifts from God and challenge them to give their money back to God, challenge them to be natural witnesses to their faith, and encourage commitment to weekly corporate worship.

Lesson 1: God's Gift of Time--This lesson will encourage teens to view their time as God's time. It will challenge them to make choices for their free time that will allow them to serve God and the world around them. (James 1:19-27; 4:13-17; Proverbs 1:1-9; 15:19; Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 11)

Lesson 2: Money Business--This lesson will help teens understand that Christians are to be faithful with their money. It will encourage them to be wise and careful stewards, not owners, of the money and possessions God has entrusted to their care. (Acts 2:44-45; Hebrews 13:5; 1 Timothy 6:7-10, 18)

Lesson 3: Walking Witnesses--This lesson will encourage teens to be natural in the way they live out their faith. Doing so will not cause them to be rejected but, rather, be a breath of fresh air to a world that needs Christ. (Mark 5:18-19; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Ephesians 6:19-20; 1 Peter 3:13-16)

Lesson 4: Foundation of Worship--This lesson will show that Christianity requires involvement in a community of believers that worships together. Teens will be challenged to make corporate worship a priority before sports, clubs, and hobbies.
