This unit was created to help students discover the calling for a lifestyle of servanthood: why, how, and where they can serve God.
Lesson 1: Why Serve?--God has always intended for His people to express their love for Him by serving others. (Matthew 20:25-28; Deuteronomy 10:12-13; Micah 6:6-8)
Lesson 2: Lifestyle of Service--Christian servanthood is a deliberate decision that leads to lifelong habits of service. (Luke 12:35; Philippians 2:1-11; James 1:22; 1 Peter 4:10-11)
Lesson 3: Service to the Needy--Learning to see Jesus in everyone will challenge us to see and meet the needs of others. (Proverbs 31:9; Matthew 25:31-46; James 2:14-17)
Lesson 4: Service to the Lost--Our lifelong Christian commitment is to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of others. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 8:35; Acts 8:26-39; Romans 3:23)
Lesson 5: Service: It Does a Body Good--Christians are called to serve one another in love because of our membership in the Body of Christ. (Acts 2:42-47; 2 Corinthians 1:3-7; Ephesians 4:11-16; Hebrews 10:23-25) |
