Sexual Ethics

Lesson 1: Celebration of Sexuality: God's Design for the Christian--This lesson looks at God's overall design for men and women as sexual beings and attempts to help the young adult Christian formulate a view of sexuality in harmony with the Scriptures. (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 19:6; Genesis 2:24-25; 1 Corinthians 6:12-7:40; Song of Solomon; Ephesians 5:22-23; Proverbs 5:15-21)

Lesson 2: Why Wait? A Christian Look at Premarital Sex--This lesson looks at the Church's traditional standards for sexual conduct among unmarried persons and the biblical principles underlying those standards. (Genesis 1:27; 2:18-25; Galatians 5:19; Deuteronomy 22:13-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8; 1 Corinthians 6:12-20)

Lesson 3: Pornography: Harmless Fantasy or Human Tragedy?--This lesson looks at pornography and its effect on both the people who participate in it and on society, analyze some relevant scientific and scriptural commentary, ask some difficult questions, and give some guidance to a generation of young adult Christians who must live holy lives amid this jungle of lurid material. (Matthew 5:28; Ephesians 4:19; 5:3-4; Mark 7:20-23; Philippians 4:8; Romans 13:13; Colossians 3:5-8; Galatians 5:19)

Lesson 4: Abortion: Murder or Modern Convenience?--This lesson attempts to approach the issue of abortion objectively-at least as objectively as this issue can be approached. The best arguments of each side are presented and analyzed. The "hard questions" are asked, but God's Word becomes our final arbiter.
