About This Product This four-week series on Shrek uses the theme of fairytale to tackle life's issues. During this study the group will come across topics like 1) the problem with judging based on appearance, 2) the importance of finding our identity and self-image in Christ, 3) the meaning of real friendship, and 4) whether or not the Gospel comes into focus through a fairytale lenses.

Lesson 1: Breaking Prejudices--This lesson takes a closer look at what it feels like to be judged based on outside appearance. The example of Christ shows those who follow Him how to display grace when confronting others. (Luke 7:36-50)

Lesson 2: Self-worth and Identity in Christ--This lesson explores the importance of loving God's creation yourself. Accepting and loving yourselves is a huge part of God's plan. (Psalm 139:13-18; Colossians 3:1-4)

Lesson 3: Tough Love Friendship--The third lesson in this series covers the area of friendship. Taking a closer look at the relationships in one's life can be a beneficial part of becoming a useful tool for Christ. (1 Samuel 20; Proverbs 27:17)

Lesson 4: The Gospel Story--The last lesson in the series takes a unusual look at the Gospel story exploring the difference between it and the stereotypical fairytale. (1 Corinthians 1:18-25) Topics: Acceptance, Faith, Friendship, God's Plan, Grace, Identity, Judging Others, Self-Image or Self Image
