Escaping Sin

Session 1: Escaping Sin--One of the biggest problems with sin is that the devil uses it to convince us that God is far away or, even worse, wants nothing to do with us. This lesson looks at just how wrong that idea actually is.(Exodus 5:22-6:6; Exodus 14:1-4, 10-31; John 8:1-9)

Session 2: Awakening to the Call--There is this popular lie that the life of a Christian is boring and rules-oriented. The truth is that God's call for his children is to live a life of blind faith and adventure. Session 3: Honoring Parents--The Bible says to honor your mother and father. But sometimes our parents act in such a way that we aren't sure how, or if in fact, we should honor and obey them. This lesson shines a light on this confusing and troubling topic of obeying parents who aren't obeying God.(Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16; 1 Kings 12:6-14; Esther 2:5-7)

Session 4: Growing in Grace--Like a plant, the Christian life must involve growth. This lesson takes a look at how to begin and maintain healthy growth in your walk with God, so that you continue to look more and more like Him.
