About This Product This unit covers the Proper 14 through the Proper 17 in Lectionary Year C. It is designed to help students understand 1) the biblical definition of faith; 2) that we can persevere in our faith by following the example of our biblical "ancestors"; 3) God's call to serve Him includes the promise of His presence and power; and 4) God's response to human apostasy.

Lesson 1: Living Faith- Faith is a way of living in the present with a hopeful view of the future, based on God's reliability in the past. (Genesis 15:1-6; Psalm 33:12-22; Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16; Luke 12:32-40)

Lesson 2: Persevering Faith-When our faith wavers or weakens, we can be encouraged by the examples of others who have held tight to their faith, even in hard time--most importantly Jesus himself. (Jeremiah 23:23-29; Psalm 82; Hebrews 11:29-12:2; Luke 12:49-56)

Lesson 3: Serving Faith-Because God created us, He has the right to call us to serve Him; but God will also accompany us and enable us to do whatever He calls us to do. (Jeremiah 1:4-10; Psalm 71:1-6; Hebrews 12:18-29; Luke 13:10-17)

Lesson 4: Forever Faith-Because God honors our free choices, we can ignore, forget, or turn away from God at any time; however, nothing can take the place of God in our lives. (Jeremiah 2:4-13; Psalm 81:1, 10-16; Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16; Luke 14:1, 7-14)
